Tafelmusik provides a welcoming and inclusive environment where learning is both structured and fun.
Courses start from age four, with no upper age limit, making music accessible whether you are just starting out, returning after a break, or continuing your musical journey.
Lessons are relaxed, interactive, and thoughtfully planned to develop musical skills alongside coordination, listening, focus, and self-expression. Whether learning for enjoyment or working towards examinations, every student is supported to progress at their own pace and achieve their personal musical goals.

About Me - Linda Horne
I believe music plays a vital role in education, as it supports many aspects of a child’s development, including physical coordination, emotional expression, perception, intellectual growth, and creativity.
Music offers enjoyment and recreation, alongside intellectual and emotional fulfilment.
It helps develop listening skills, coordination, and confidence, while providing opportunities for both individual and group activity and creative expression.
Above all, it is essential to me that learning music is fun, engaging, and inspiring.
Adult and Children Tuition
A high standard of tuition is offered in a friendly, informal setting where making music enjoyable is just as important as progress.
Students may choose to work towards music examinations or simply play for fun, with lessons tailored to suit beginners, returners, and more experienced players alike. Tuition is available for both children and adults.
Lessons combine traditional teaching with modern technology to keep learning engaging. Creative activities such as composing and improvising are introduced from the start, alongside dedicated ‘lab time’ using tools like iPads, games, and interactive resources.
